*documenting our relationship -part II

When MT and I became a couple, I wanted to record and document almost everything down. Movies form a huge part of the dates that we went on, given the nature of our work where we get to enjoy off days during the work week, movies for us were really cheap.

In this case, I created a book to record down the movies which we had watched together as a couple, completed with the movie studs. One year later and many movies later, I am happy that in a spur of a moment, i had decided to create this movie book.

The title of the movie book "popcorn saga" was named by MT, for his love of popcorn and Yes, he must have his popcorn every single time we go to the movies, if you don't want to have them, he will coax you into having the popcorn with him. However, I am someone who cannot eat and watch a movie at the same time, once the movie starts, I will stop eating the popcorn and concentrate on movie.

The back of the book, has a simple {SHOWTIME}, rubbed on.

For some movies, like the first 3D movie that we watched together, we will also include our comments.

*Xmas gift Number One.

I know that it is only Nov and Xmas is still more than a month away. I like to get a head start in things so i had made my first xmas present to be given to JacQ as a Xmas gift. This is the first year which I am going to make my xmas present (most of them, anyway), in the past, i normally buy them at a mall and wrapped them up.
In terms of design, this is the first time I had used such a bright pink and i love it. I should learn to use more bold colours in my scrapbooking instead of the usual pastal colours. I am hoping that JacQ will like this tag book which I had made for her in the year of 2010 and that she will use it to record her monthly story.

*my army boy

In September this year, MT went to reservist for a period of two weeks. Let me sidetrack a little, MT and I work together so even before the start of our relationship, I was already used to seeing MT almost every single day( we work 6 days a week ). After we became a couple, we will be meeting up on our rest days.

As such, the thought of not being able to see him for two weeks was a little too scary for me. plus, when he goes to army, he wont be able to have his mobile with him the whole day, it does not feel good that i received a sms at 6am in the morning and i need to wait till 8pm, to receive the "phone call of the day".

This also marks the first time I saw MT in his army uniform. Accordingly to the gals at work, i looked really sad for that two weeks. The next time he goes back to the army will be next May, i hope that i will be able to do better.

This is the first layout with the so many wordings.

The mobile phone which MT bought to his camp was faulty and he did not received any of the sms which i had sent him. Instead of sending him the sms which he was not receiving, i wrote what i wanted to tell him on the notebook.

quote of the moment

"i believe that we form our own lives, that we create our own reality, and that everything works out for the best. i know i drive some people crazy with what seems to be riddiculous optimism, but it has always worked out for me."
Jim Henson

I had been updating this blog with bits and pieces of my life and even thought it is only maybe a picture, a quote or some short post. I think that in one year time, when i look back at this blog, i will be glad that i had record some bits of my life in this year on this blog.
while scrapbooking and treating even a normal date out with MT or a family gathering as precious moments seems to be riddiculous to many people around me. I had been told that "everyday seems to be the same." and how can i spend so much money on purchasing scrapbook materials.
I beg to differ but i dont want to go into an arguement on this blog so i will hold onto to what i believed and will continue to document my life and those precious moments of mine through scrapbooking.
This also means that there will be more pictures to be develop!

all ready for 2010

In the 11th month of the year, at major bookstores and the shopping malls, there will counters of calendars and new year diary. often, we will see a group of young girls or in my case, a young
adult shopping for next year calendar and a new diary or a scheduler.
This year, calendar was given to me by sweet Jacq at work, this is the cuttest calendar i had ever owned since i started to work. For my diary, I bought it at takashimaya which explains the Japanese characters.
At first, I was all going for a really mature approach in buying this year diary but i cant help myself but fallen in love with this cute japanese diary. The only downside of having a japanese diary and calendar will be : it does not show up our public holidays.
So, with my calendars and diary for the new year, I am all ready for 2010.
