2009 is a year of

of many "first" for MT and Me.

This is the conclusion which had dawn upon me while I was writing Xmas card to me. It was also the only hand made xmas card that I made for the whole of the 2008 and 2009. I made the card last year and I forgotten to write on the card because of the birthday celebrations we had. This year, I had made a point to write the card and have it mail over to MT's house.

Here we go: the many "first" of 2009

the first candid picture of MT and I

spending our first Chinese Year New together
Our first Valentine together

the first year anniversary of being together: This picture was taken with in the cable car and we had sky dining. It was a surprise from MT and I enjoyed myself so much.

the first performance which we attended - Breakout. MT promised me that if the musical - The Lion King ever come to Singapore again, he will treat me to the front row seats. In the meantime, we enjoyed some korean hop hop dance moves.

the first time we were apart when I went to Sydney for my sister's graduation
in Sydney.

the first cycling trip at East Coast Park
the first time we went to ION together

the first time you bought mooncake to my family

the first time in many years when I started to take pictures with my Grandma.

the very first time MT went to reservist, the very first time I saw him in his army uniform, how I can only talk to him once a day and received only ONE sms in the morning. The first time, I felt that it was so good to have MT back with me, by my side. also, the first time, I realized that MT forms a huge part in my life.

This is the first time I made the chinese kind of desert for MT. I had always wanted to make this for MT, because my sister told me this is cooling.

FOr Xmas this year, I had also received my first snow glode from MT.

Happy New Year! To a more fruitfull 2010. Goodbye,2009. It had been a sweet ride.

One Little Word 2010

Inspired by Ali's one little word to welcome the new year, I had decided that for 2010, my word will be CHANGE.

I am someone who is resist changes and hopes that change will not come.

So, in the new year, I am embracing to the changes which I except to come my way: new job(i hope), new positive direction in my relationship with MT, being able to make changes to my scrapping style and to have a more healthy me. to be a more organised ME. of course, I also look forward to blogging more often so that I will be able to look at my own memories.

For the new year, in order to improve my photo taking skills and fully utilise my DSLR, I had decided that I will make myself to take a picture a week and post it here. There're alot of people who takes a picture a day and post it up daily on either flicker or on a blog. I know that I wont be able to keep for if it is daily so i had decided that I will be postng a picture a week and by the end of the year, I will have 52 pictures to look back on what the year had been.

I turned 27 years old today

after MT's 27th birthday, it was my birthday celebration: there was the meet my mum session for MT, followed by Avatar in 3D format, dinner&coffee with my close friends. This was the day before my birthday. On my birthday, I had breakfast with my Godmum one of my fave breakfast places at Siglap. For my 27th birthday,my Godmum had decided to give me a new charm, the guiding light , a new addtion to my charm bracelet [the bracelet was my 26th birthday present from Godmum] lunch with my family. Godmum hopes that this good luck charm will bring me to better luck always and to a fruitfull 2010. very thoughtfull and sweet of my Godmum. We had a long talk over breakfast, basically to catch up with our lives and exchanged Xmas present. For the record, MT and I bought her a tea pot and a book so that she will be able to enjoy a good read while slipping tea.

It was family lunch after breakfast : Din Teng Fang. I choose this place because my father love the Xiao Long Bao so I thought that I will make everyone happy by bringing my family there for lunch.

Dinner will be with MT: just a simple meal at a favorite Japanese place where we go very often. The original plan was to have a Japanese buffet (i was having a craving for Japanese food. On the day itself, I was so stuffed with food that all I can think of is a bowl of ramen. With this in mind, we went to MOF and had our fave ramen.

On the day itself, I had also received my first precious moments water ball. It is in the picture below.

I am a year older now, I also want to be a year wiser.

& December is here.

In a blink of the eyes, the year is coming to an end again. Decemember is a month a celebrations for me, also a very hectic month. The plan to hand made MT's birthday cards as well as my Xmas gifts were very time consuming but I am glad that I had decided to go ahead with the idea.
other than the Christmas gathering MT and I needs to attend, I have two friend's having birthdays, MT's birthday and my birthday are all in the same month. All in all, on the average, there will be something to celebrate every single week in Dec - not that I am complaining.
Last week, Joey and I hang out in town, caught a movie and shopped for Xmas presents : this was our way of celebrating her birthday this year.
This week, I had a friend who came to Singapore from down under. We had not met for at least 4 years but it did not stop us from talking about almost everything under the sun , the day was spent going to the different shopping malls which had opened, eating xiao long bao to sampling Royce chocolate. The both of us had coffee at starbucks, deciding that coffee in sydney is so mich cheaper and better. We then hopped over to the 313@somerset, as we explored the new shopping mall, i cant help but noticed the layout of the mall seems to be simliar to a westfield. overall, I had a productive day purchasing a new jacket for the new year and I miss girls day out!

Get Well SOON!

today, is the first time, MT had fallen very ill. Most of the time, in this relationship, I am the one who is always falling sick -flu, sore eyes, gastric, high blood pressure, fever, throat inflammation, tummy upset, etc. You should get the picture by now.

We had spent a great amount of time as well as money, going to different doctors for different type of illness, from the normal GP, to TCM and to the various specalist : high blood, skin, gastric. MT also had to monitor the type of food which I eat to how much fruits and Veg that I am taking - almost on a daily basis.

so, when MT fall sick today, running a fever at 39.2 degree. I can't help myself but worry and also blame myself for not taking proper care of him. He had been taking such good care of me and yet, when he is down with fever, I can't help much. I had to stay away from him, so that I will not fall ill.

just some random thoughts for the day.
